Orpheus Software is a UK based insurance software startup developing full stack solutions for our customers in the insurance industry. We're focused on B2C and B2B2C transactions in Travel and Car insurance, providing customer focused, machine optimised systems to keep them at the top of their game.
WHO WE ARE
Orpheus was founded in 2014 by the team behind 1Cover, the largest independent Travel insurer in Australia and New Zealand.
With a software background, we set out to build a ground up solution to keep customers front and centre of the insurance experience rather than policies, as has always been the case in the past.
DEVELOPED TECHNOLOGY
Advanced Solutions
We've built a micro-services based Java stack, with Spring Boot and the rest of the Spring stack driving most of the solution, along with a variety of data and ML technologies, deployed entirely with Docker on AWS.
It's an end-to-end solution encompassing online marketing and ecommerce; multi-channel customer service; claims and underwriting workflow; and Business Intelligence. It provides multiple public websites, portals, web services and online line-of-business applications in a High Availability scenario to customers globally, partners in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, and team members in offices in Gibraltar, Cardiff and Sydney.
We're focused on how to collect as much data as we can in the systems, and then integrate that data together into pricing algorithms to get the most advanced risk pricing available for the direct insurance industry.
